Dammit! They had me going for a minute… I admit it. The corporate/police state media wonks suckered me. I actually accepted their initial reportage that some lame halfwit kid from Portland, Oregon, nee Somalia, tried to pull off a terror attack.
Having been a federal prisoner now for 21+yrs, I should know better. Unlike the average befuddled citizen of Big Brother’s republic, I have no excuse.
The US prison systems—comprised of the federal, all 50 states, the colonial Territories, the jokey-sovereign Native American “reservation” prisons, immigration facilities, ad nauseam—are a vast representation of every demographic that exists.
Stripped of all that you’ve earned merit-wise, which otherwise makes you unique and who you are, packaged in the same khaki uniforms, catalogued and numbered with assigned prisons and cells according to your security-classification, we become brothers (and sisters) of a type that exists nowhere else.
Be that as it may, where else in society can one routinely sit down for a daily meal, or walk the track, cop a few rays in the sun, and bunk with, say, an Air force general, or a police chief, or a former US Attorney General, or a Wall Street tycoon, CEO or CFO, Indian chief, Lufthansa pilot, bank-robber, sociopath, Congressman, assorted political prisoners, or any of the run-of-the-mill dopers?
Easily 95+% of police “detection” work is simply non-existent (except on TV). And any honest cop would agree.
Their all-volunteer, proto-fascist good squads (that is, all SWAT teams, DEA, ATF, ICE, etc.) services almost exclusively minor warrants, which they treat as life and death affairs (for you).
But in real situations? At Colombine? Virginia Tech? Waco? Ruby Ridge? Where the wabbit got the gun? Cowards. You don’t wait for an enemy to kill all the victims…and you don’t slaughter innocents…
Police political and “terror” investigations are primarily focused on finding lame whackos of a minor, mental, and mostly harmless sort, and using profit-driven CIs to literally create ”conspiracies” and supply materiel (fake or otherwise) for a criminal act which they guide and steer for an easy “score.”
For every criminal caught red-handed, several more are created by virtue of snitching and what the state euphemistically calls “sting” operations—entrapments often created whole-cloth by the CIs and/or the police/prosecutorial teams. Their prime interest is not justice, it’s the score.
It’ll take awhile, but when the facts get sorted out on the Oregon incident, it’s likely we’ll find that the kid was more blowhard than perfect storm. Without the CI participation and FBI supplies, there might not even be a crime.
But the hapless fool served his purpose: The Confidential Informant gets paid, the local FBI-SAC will get a commendation and listed for a better slot, and the corp/media gets another tool to manipulate public fear and more social control.
One of the cops in my own case said, when I stated that I was not a member of the conspiracy they accused me of, “So, what difference does it make? This crime, another crime, you’re guilty of something! We just didn’t catch you at it.”
The former chief of Stalin’s Secret Police, Lavrentiy Beria, put it much the same way: “Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.”
