Alien Inductions, an Academy Award…

As I witness this world, I’ve come to feel like an alien Robinson Crusoe…marooned on this planet and damned if I can figure out how to get back home, or at least some rational alternative.

In any event, as you requested Theophilus, here’s my promised report on earthlings. I realize that this section has been quarantined, so I might be here for awhile longer…

As you know, humans are a relatively recent species, being roughly only some 200,000 years old (a minuscule fraction of our galactic year).

They’re a classic case of psycho-projected catastrophism. more…

Corporatists: Do they really wanta do that?

What the Koch Brothers, the Supreme Court’s Gang-of-Five, and the rest of the corporatist crew are doing today kind of reminds me of Pearl Harbor…

Well into the 20th century, the Japanese military and their corporate elite had built an industrial monolith and had gone far in their colonial exploits. After all, they believed, they had more right over the natural resources and cheap labor of Asia than did the colonial gaijin.

When the US and Colonial Britain opposed their expansion and cut off oil and rubber, etc., for their industrial machine, the Japanese turned to war. (That’s usually what wars are about: Markets & Profit.) more…

Personal Notes by Author…

After 20 yrs in federal prison, in August of 2009, I was designated to complete my final two yrs on home arrest. It was a pilot Congressional program of which my nominal sponsor, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), was an author.

Downtown Detroit, Michigan...

In order to qualify for the program, one had to be over 65, have a clear conduct record; no sexual predation in their history; be a non-violent first-offender; and to have served at least 10 yrs and 75% of your sentence.

Hell, Big Bubba Clinton wouldn’t qualify for that Program on his history alone! more…

Gods, Ghouls & Goblins (II)…

The Abramic Brotherhood is comprised of the three central faiths in the Western world: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Peas in a pod…

Too much Goddess for Abraham...

Abram (later Abraham) was the son of Terah, the High Priest of the Temple of Ur in ancient Sumeria (the area of the Tigris-Euphrates River Valley in current-day Iraq). They worshipped the celestial warrior-god, Marduk. Cuneiform was their writing.

The Sumerian religion was the worship of an ancient extra-terrestrial race of rulers. (Hell, it even makes more sense.) more…

Language & Socialization…

The acquisition of a doctorate in psychology (PsyD) gave me more than a nice piece of paper to hang on the wall. There’s actually method behind the madness of racism, nativism, sexism and corporatism.

We all come into this world as infants totally absorbed in our own needs and wants: true individuals where we are the only person that is the focus of existence. Growing beyond that is the essence of civilized social behavior. more…

Conservative Race to the Bottom…

“When the villagers fled at the approach of the invading army, someone left the door to the asylum open. Unknown to the new occupiers, the nuts were running the village. Now they’re running for president…”

Fiction? When I try to evaluate just how unstrung conservative candidates can get—and how it seems to escape the notice of the corporate media—I’m trumped by their further wackiness.

In reality, there’s method to their madness. On the one hand, they’re opportunistic; they’ll do and say anything that serves their quest for personal profit, privilege and power. more…

Layin’ in the Cut…

There’s a saying we often use in prison, “Layin’ in the cut.” It describes a situation where one quietly awaits further time and opportunity for “payback.”

I’ve witnessed the American gulag become the largest prison system on earth…and a corporate model for future society. Welcome to my world… more…

Ideology: A Class Act…& then there’s the Pauls…

When I was six years old in the summer of ’48, I recall listening to the presidential election on the radio while my mother ironed.

Eileen Elizabeth McHugh was a 23-yr-old former World War-II, Rosie-the-Riveter (welder) in the Narragansett Shipyards, Rhode Island. We lived in a winterized near-beach cottage.

The post-war rise in the working and middle classes was still in its infancy, and this was before most people had TVs or telephones. I know we didn’t have one.

I asked her what they were talking about on the radio…Democrats and Republicans? more…
