FDA Cracks Door on LSD…

Acid, Bombs & Grateful Dead…

The summer of ’68 was my “acid summer.” A couple of doctor friends at Wayne State University here in Detroit (Robin Barraco and Henry Normile, now deceased) acquired a batch of Owsley’s “Purple Haze” LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide). Owsley was the sound engineer and chemist for the Grateful Dead
