Detroit: The Final Solution…

What remained of democracy in Detroit has now been usurped under corporatist rule by Michigan’s Governor, Rick Snyder.

Atty. Kevyn Duane Orr (55)...

Atty. Kevyn Duane Orr (55)…

Snyder, a venture-capitalist CPA who made his $millions as a Gateway board-director and other enterprises that exported jobs overseas, has appointed Attorney Kevyn Orr to lead point in the latest phase of the corporatist plan: America, Inc.

In an act of ironic synchronicity, Orr is a younger lookalike to another racial quisling, Clarence Thomas, one of the Gang of Five on the US Supreme Court.  more…

Psychopaths in Schools & Sociopaths in Politics…

Between natural catastrophes and personal madness, there’s a lot on our plate this holiday season. We sure don’t need the ruling elite and their conservative cadre manufacturing a fiscal cliff to further satiate their greed.

I believe personally and professionally (PsyD) that there’s a basic nexus between the pathological individualism of those who commit mass-murder and those who impoverish millions of families in pursuit of personal profit and power. more…

Conservative Race to the Bottom…

“When the villagers fled at the approach of the invading army, someone left the door to the asylum open. Unknown to the new occupiers, the nuts were running the village. Now they’re running for president…”

Fiction? When I try to evaluate just how unstrung conservative candidates can get—and how it seems to escape the notice of the corporate media—I’m trumped by their further wackiness.

In reality, there’s method to their madness. On the one hand, they’re opportunistic; they’ll do and say anything that serves their quest for personal profit, privilege and power. more…

Prisoners & Families: Neo-Slavery…

I recall back in 2006 when I was being transferred from the federal prison at FCI Jesup, Georgia, to the prison camp at FPC Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.

Getting up at 2:30am, the procedures included stripping, total body-cavity searches, an orange jump-suit and chains from my waist, to hands, to feet. Herded into a bare holding-cell with some 40 other prisoners, we languished until past 10am for the steel-caged prison transport bus. more…

The Yellow Stripes of Texas…

We’re not gonna win by their letting us play nice.  They’re cowards and hypocrites and have no honor.  There just seems to be something over-sized about Texas that breeds deceit and ignorance in such abundance.

As a former prisoner of the American gulag, I recognize of course that Texas has the third largest prison system in the US, after California and the feds. But it ain’t for lack of trying.

I don’t know why they bother saddling their horses facing forward…they don’t ride that way.

(I’m not speaking of the normal, rational folks of Texas. Lord knows how they put up with having to deal with the Bush’s, Perry’s, DeLay’s and other reactive, conservative morons.) more…

New Orleans August 5th: Democracy vs. Corporatism…

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), will be holding their 2011 annual meeting at the French Quarter’s New Orleans Marriott August 1st thru the 6th. This is no ordinary public-policy organization.

New Orleans, Louisiana...

Paul Weyrich and others founded ALEC in 1973 as an agency designed to channel gifts and “donations” to right-wing legislators in order to enact “model legislation” that empowers corporate profit and control. We are today witnessing that reality in full bloom. more…

Corporatist Armageddon: Class War…

I suppose with most of my 69 years in progressive political action, along with a few combats, a chain-gang, and over 20 years in federal prisons, my silly-talk neurons have become jaded.

Funny conservative, John Wayne Gacy...

Some people simply love to argue; it gives them the illusion of intelligence.  And so-called conservative-libertarians, etc., few having any grounding in social consciousness or empathy, substitute the vacuum with manic polemics.  Of course, they stay perpetually frustrated–and all the more dangerous.

For instance, I would never consider for a moment arguing with, say, the shrub, George Bush Jr. He’s quite simply an over-indulged, self-entitled, drunken frat-boy with a silver spoon up his ass (and that’s being generous). What’s to argue with? more…

Warehousing America…

As criminalization and incarceration continue to become the central means of the states and federal gov’ts to enforce the incorporation of America, we’re going to witness scenes like that revealed in this video more often—despite all the conservative pie-in-the-sky and liberal compromising…

But don’t count on seeing it on your local news.  Over 90% of the mass media is already owned and operated by six of these corporations. more…

One Born Every Minute…

While we’ve been distracted by the mid-term elections, the business of America—business—continues.  They never miss a beat…

North Lake Correctional Facility, Baldwin, MI

The Democratic governor of Michigan teamed up with her Republican counterpart in California for another magic-mirrors fix to their respective budgetary problems.  This time it’s private prison profiteering. more…
